Just ordered it.

I just ordered the gopro Hero, I got it because I like the suction cup mount. I also have a oregon scientic that I got for X-mas but haven't used. I plan on using one or both of these at Havazoo this weekend. Not sure how I am going to mount the Oregon scientific one, does anyone know of a suction cup mount for this unit

That is the one I use. Not great quality but good enough for what I need it for. And if I ruin it I'm only out $100. And I think they are even cheaper now.

I use the handlebar mount and attach it to my bow rail. Are the suction cups strong enough to hold at high speeds? If so you could probably make something fairly easily.

I uploaded one of mine from last year onto youtube. The most important thing is to start with a level camera!

I had it modified this winter so I can now plug in an external microphone to avoid the wind noise.

We have tried to get rid of all exposed hardware, so no grad rails to attach to. They are actually suction mounts where you pump the are out and are usually very strong, although I haven't used these yet. They advertise up to 150 mph, but we plan on being north of that.

I didn't think of those. I had a G-Tech Accelerometer and that mounted with a suction cup that "squeezed" the air out. It was VERY strong.

tom did you get any thing yet. did you see the new setup in speed racer through the gps (front and back cam and you can download off the gps)

I have to check out that set up!
