You're one of many...you really can't fvck up satin-finishing, so I can't complain, but I think that guy ruined more props and fvcked more people than even Fred.

kinda looks like a brushed finish.its for sale also

on your boat it won't make any real difference. you may as well polish them for the bling factor

That sounds like you may have lost some diameter...it certainly wasn't from the polishing.
