RIP I never met him, wish I had. A loss of another Great Offshore Racer that I loved watching race tapes of. I hope his son will race on. God Bless. artie

Wow, I'm really surprised. His daughter Bonnie called me in december, and it sounded like Al was doing a little better. She told me of some new treatment he was undergoing and I thought it was working for him.
So sad to hear of this. He was truely a icon in whatever he set his mind to do. He will be missed by all of us.

I met Mr. Copeland a couple of times as my father did some remodeling on his home. He was a real nice guy and I know he will be missed.
To his family I send my condolences.
