checkmate chine walk

We just sold our 21 Checkmate Pulsare with 225 EFI Merc. That thing could get squirrely once you trimmed it out. Not a very good boat for LI sound though. That 19 degree Vee was unforgiving in the chop.

I know a guy in MD that has that same Hydrostream hull.
Had a great shot of him airing it out a few years back, but not sure where the photo is. Probably buried in closet somewhere.

Yeah, I never learned how to steer out of the chine walk in our 21, especially when it was trimmed. Would usually have to back off the throttles a little and trim it down some. We didn't have tabs though which could have helped.

I had a 19' Pulse with a 175 2.5 on it. It would chine walk at 62, I never tried to drive though it because I didn't think it had much more in it. (Potential to get scary) We had alot fun with it, but not good when it got rough. Great for skiing, No jack plate, dual cable steering. Doug
