Not to my knowledge. What are they "rated" to?

Ran the SCT all last year, no problems. Originally had SC lowers but now have new large lower, with #6 propshaft, ran at poker run, no problem. Have 2400hp but cruise most of the time. Love the transmission in there, shifts like a dream.

what's the diff between the SCX and SCT

Boatfixr 05-10-2008 05:42 PM

The SCX has a cone clutch built into the upper and the SCT uses an external transmission like the 72C or Hurth.

Whipplecharged-What's your application and specifically, going from the STD bravo style props to the 6 style props: Did you change drive height and tell me what props you ran before and what you are running now. Decribe any differences in handling, speed, etc.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I am going from Std length XR Lowers running a 36" Bravo Four blade or 32" Throttle Up CNC 5 Blade to the IMCO SCX with 2" Shorter Lowers and the #6 Style shafts and am trying to figure out what props to start with.

We are just about finished with a single engine SCT with 1200hp in a 26 cat. I'll post how everything goes after the water test in a couple of weeks.

I guess the SCT is a little stronger?

Yes they work great but take 2 mph away for the size of the case

tomcei 05-11-2008 06:50 PM

mph loss as compaired to a standard bravo?
JC, I think this drive might be my best option over a #6 hanging off a 28 Pantara.
I sure would like to hear a nice success story. I'm thinking about the SCX so I don't move my engine or move the prop location.
