how did the single step 41's compare to the non stepped in rough water and speed, why only 1 step, not 2 or 3?

They never made any single step 41's... Scott Grady, an owner of a 41 Apache took on the project himself and modified his original 41 and added a step.

To my knowlege, Bob Saccenti OR McManus never built any 41 or 47 boats with steps... However, Bob Saccenti did build several step bottom 36's, and then there was the 42 Chief..

Saccenti built stepped New tech 41's and the chief.

Jim are you going to buy one of these now?

Why don't I just sell you my mold and you can put a step insert back in it?

Hi Frank .... If memory serves me correctly ... I think that boat had a step before Scott Grady got it ... On of my neighbors had it before Scott ... And I think the guy he bought it from did the step ?!?!?!? But I've been wrong before !???!

Your right, i was looking at that boat to buy before scott bought it and it had the step already.

You're probably right. I remember a long time ago Scott talking about the project and I just assumed he did it.
