There was a thread on this in the scarab section. I would do a search there and see if its still there. I even beleive someone made some out of billet aluminum to be able take more of a beating.

I took mine plastic vents to a machine shop and they cut me new ones out of 1/4 inch aluminum they made them flat but they look just as good to make them like the plastic ones it will cost about $1500 the flat ones were only $150 they cut them with a water jet

I epoxied mine back into shape. A couple bucks worth of west resin and a lot of elbow grease sanding and shaping. I reinforced the ribs from behind with some threaded rod and woven mat I had in the junk pile. 2 years later they still look like new. The epoxy will stick to the plastic very well , don't use poly resin !!!
