Just found out I have 1.36 drive ratios on a pair of XZ s. The problem is the boat, a 28 Pantera, used to go 94MPH now its got 377 small blocks getting 4400 RPM with Bravo 1 22 props. Is it crazy to go down to a 19 prop( four blade) ? I guess it would help to go three blade to help get the RPMs up , but on a heavy hull I always heard four blades work best. Any opinions??

Austin, you can swap gears and keep the original housing. Make sure whomever does the work is familiar with Bravo drives because the shimming of the gears is very important. Not a big deal to do on Bravos. You will really liven up that Pantera with 1.50 or 1.65 ratio. You will feel a big difference in accelleration. Good luck.
