Congratulations Brian!!! Wish we could be in the same boat,
he-he, figuratively of course, since we have the same boat...lol

We are gonna refinance the house Mon. since we're at 8 1/2% now, down to 7% plus buying two points @ $1600.00 to get down to 6 1/2% all together its gonna cost appx. $3600.00, I hope this was wise, don't really know too much about that stuff. But the $100.00 extra a month in our pocket sounds good, considering we spend a minimum of $150.00 a weekend in gas... Of course thats $75.00 Sat. and $75.00 Sun. 100 gallons weighs alot!!!!

Congrats. Refied the house a few months ago to 6.25%. 200 a month back in the budget. I hate paying interest. It always feels good to get rid of the bills. The hard part is keeping them gone once you get rid of the debt.

I'm with you guys on the refinance deal. I'm going to refi probably this week. My only gripe is that I can't get it quite as low as you folks, I think mine will go from 8.65 to just about 7.25. HHhhmm maybe I'm getting scammed .

$406.00/month back in the pocket!! That's like an $8K raise for me before taxes/401K!!
Thanks guys, and good luck with the re-fi's.

Now that you have a raise and all that extra cash floating around in your pocket, it's time to do an engine upgrade/rebuild/blower/whipple/new props/external steering/prop change/more poker runs/more boating weekends whew, I need a break!

Niuhi, according to the mortgage broker it's been at 7 % for the past couple of days, he said he don't know what it would do by Mon. since they reported the economy doing better. I too missed out when it was around the 6% rate and I've been waiting since Sept. so I figured I would grab it at 7 %. I locked in over the phone, my luck it will be in the 6's monday....
Hope this helps!!!

We just refinanced this last month at 6.3. Can I be on the payoff end of our loan too?
