they can always be fixed . . . . . . should it be? well thats another question.


I have seen much worse be repaired and put into race conditions with no probs. I certainly wouldnt want to end up with it not knowing the history though. very glad everyone is ok

The real speedy is in NJ and a 5 seat, used to be a 4 seat. There was a speed racer race boat. I wonder if that was converted, otherwise it is just a copycat.

I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that phone call. Then again, it's a great opportunity for a 'new' boat! Good to hear that everyone is ok.

Yep this is a bad deal. The "mechanic" basically called the owner of the boat and asked if he could take his pals out for a ride. As far as we know he has little or no experience behind the wheel. What we were told is that they came flying up into the wakes behind the Coast Guard ship about 20 feet off the stern and launched it.
Glad to hear they're all safe but it's beyond me why the owner let these guys take it out.
