Got to be that bottom design. Wide beam wide chines step placement correct CG etc. I still like that 55' Metamarine canopy monster for big water though. Some of those races get really rough, remember Malta last year? 15-20s. :eek:

It fell apart in it's first race over here, massive structural failure!

Post the vid, the 37 is a great running rough water boat.

Malta was won by an outerlimits last year, it does get rough over there. In 07 the water pump sheared right off the motor when the boat fell in to a 20' hole

There have been many manufactures that have had structural failures racing in europe. All the Skater vee bottoms and that brand new Nor-Tech are two as well.
