Elite Marine 08-11-2008 11:45 AM

Honestly one of the best - 28 Pantera. Ask anyone who raced one or raced against it.

I assume you were talking offshore boats, not military or transport.

DollaBill 08-11-2008 11:47 AM

Do we really have to do this?? :)

That being said, Apache 41/47 38TG

Is that because aircraft carriers have beaks? That comment should really get this thread going:evilb:

I have a few worn out VCR tapes with that boat running, and I'd have to agree. Those Seahawk and Spirit of Amazon boats seemed to do well

The question is damn near impossible to answer. What's everyone's "checklist" that would determine a winner?

That said, I'd have a tough time believing ANY performance boat could outlast and outrun this monster in a small craft warning........

panicrev 08-11-2008 11:58 AM

i thought someone would of said or referenced fountain sooner..."lets go movie star...."

For a 28'r, yes.

I will say that the ride in my 32 AT LOTO is a LOT better than the Pantera.

Here's my vote.. 47 foot Motor Life Boat. Self righting if it gets turned upside down and damn near impossible to sink.

Didn't the big Buzzi break the last two records?

Chris Sunkin 08-11-2008 03:04 PM

Now that you mention it, I believe he did best the Gentry record in La Grande Argentina several years back.

LapseofReason 08-11-2008 04:12 PM

It is whatever boat the salesman is trying to sell you.

LapseofReason 08-11-2008 04:16 PM

50 Nortech, 51 Outerlimits, 50 Hustler, 46 Cig., I know the 38 top gun is a nice boat but you can't beat the extra 12 feet on the big V's

I agree with you with the exception of the TG, the twin step only should be in the group. The SS I had was not even close. I'll also add 46 and 42 OL as well as my 43 Nor-Tech. Length sometimes does have it's advantages

older models..no question 41 & 47 Apache

Agreed. Except I'd have to add Tiger and Rough Rider.
