I think the E. River should not be used. The river is too narrow for 20-30 boats, plus if the kyakers are there they will get swamped!!!! Lets not even think about the CG and Police!!!

East River compared to the Harlem River??? Can't get to LaMotta's without going up one of them so are you suggesting we go somewhere else?

I understand what you're saying Kenny but Pure suggested the East River is too narrow.

The Harlem River (the open/closed bridge) is narrow, all the way down to where it meets the East River and Hells Gate. About 7 years ago some lunatic shot a gun at my buddies boat going down the Harlem River...

For what it's worth, I think running up the East River, through Hells Gate and into Long Island Sound and out to LaMottas is better than running up the Hudson and back down the Harlem etc..
