steering stabilizer

Anyone on here use or have used the drew marine sidewinder stabilizer system?I talked to the owner today and seems like a good investment for some saftey other than buying full hydraulic steering,$850 shipped to my door,what do you think????????

My 28AT had it on it when I took ownership; so I don'tknow what the handling was like w/o it. My top speed is only 72 so it is o.k. I did have to rebuild my gimbals last yr @ 375 hrs.
What are you running? How fast? I will be doing full Hydraulic soon...and possibly then I will add some power.

I had them on my old boat a 22 scarab. They did help and are better than nothing. In my opinion you would be better to save up and go with a full hydraulic set up. Once you have a boat with full hydraulic steering you never want to drive one with out it.
