Great news that you got the boat back.

Do you guys think it is possible that the guy who moved the boat from the highway is not connected with the original thieves? I'm just wondering why they would risk additional exposure once they had abandoned it on the highway.

I spoke to Jeremy today, the police are not saying too much but are being very positive and seem to indicate they have a good lead.

Sorry guys - been very tied up between work and dealing with this. As tzrider said below, I have had some positive feedback from the police, but they (and I to the extent of what they've told me) can't go into too much detail. I will definately keep everyone updated as soon as I'm able.

I saw that boat the mornining of the 28 at 9 am . under the over pass on the north bound lane of I 75.. YEP PURPLE COVER OVER TRANSOM. WHEN I CAME BACK THROUGH THAT NIGHT IT WAS GONE AROUND 8:30 PM.. THE DRIVES WERE OUT BY THEN ALSO.
