Keep in mind that all Skaters are not created equal.
Skaters can be:
Fiberglass
Kevlar
Carbon fiber
Skaters can be built for pleasure or race which may alter the layup and ultimately the weight.
Speed to a given hull is determined by weight to horsepower ratio as well as gearing and props.
My 46 weighs LESS than my 40.

Maybe too lite!! 
but was a world offshore and national champ many times.If it wasn't for the inland racing that goes on now this hull would still be taking checkerd flags!! 4,160 lb out the mold!!
