Greg still has the Fountain. The boat sliky is talking about is one of Gregs old boats.

Slinky 06-17-2009 08:51 AM

it was a 262 that he had a few boats before his fountain...Rock Langlois was the last owner of it, Dicky Deso had bought it off of gregg after gregg had dropped a crate 502 in it....if my history lesson is right. stickers on the side of the fairing claim 565hp now...I'm sure John will be making a few runs down to the beach with us with it.

btw...someone needs to get on greggs case since he hasnt gotten the fountain wet yet this year!

Looks like they've improved the dockage?

VtSteve 06-21-2009 07:40 PM

Nice new docks there, but the parallel the lake now. Someone told me they are trying to expand out that way. But they look like a tight fit for the larger boats.

You can't see in the picture, but they have already set two more pilings going out. It was interesting watching a couple of good sized sail boats dock on the inside. Took a bit. Also had a bit of a time getting back out?

You won't have any problems the end of the "T"s will have plenty of space also if you come in from the side of the ferries you will have space.
They were not done putting them in last week they will finish this week.

At worst if you want to make yourself even more nervous go and scope them out before you bring your rig over.

If the dock config was like Wednesday evening, it would be tough at the end of the "T"'s because the center connection mounts were sticking out, but if they finish this week, like GL stated, it will be no problem at all. We also still could back in a few spots at the ferry end. Saturdays looking good...hopefully it sticks!!!

Kanookstr 06-22-2009 08:02 AM

Hey gl. what are the plans for fourth of july? I start my 2 weeks vaca that saturday and want to know what goes on that afternoon/evening?

waterheater 06-22-2009 08:16 AM

Is it still 1st come 1st served? Or are they requiring reservations? Can't remember.......

According to your picture they were not even done on the finger you were parked at, they went further out with another set of docks and the end is flush you can park large boat at the end.

Plus they are coming out with a finger along the Northern Lights Cruise boat parking facing North for smaller boats >30'.

There will be a total of 20 spots up from 9.

GL you going to have the mut in the bay on the 4th?
I'll be missing the 3rd in burlington due to Gregg's sons graduation party but we are trying to figure out where we can go watch some decent fireworks for the 4th. We'll be down by the Port Kent ferry at the gf's camp anyways so it wouldnt be much more to shoot across and hang out for the fireworks that night.

That will be great! Nice to see someone on this side of the lake cares about boat business. Very nice upgrades.

As of noon today these are what the docs look like at Breakwaters...like GL said there is still a long finger to the left...hopefully we'll be there to try them out Thursday or Friday nite.

DRIPPINWETII 06-22-2009 02:08 PM

It's about time they put more Docks in there. I have traveled there many times only to wait an hour and end up heading back home.

Very very nice to see.

For any of you that have thought about doing the Pirate's Run on Seneca Lake, Do It! I spent the last couple days there with Chuck and John and I'll tell you they put on one heck of a run. Great setup with the hotel, boats, and party all together in one area. Lake is beautiful with hardly any hazzards to be concerned about. The owners of Sunsation were there and many others. Lots of great boats. Big time party. Consider it next year.

BTW - Best line of the weekend... "That was my sister."

I'm inside over at Northshore, and it's finally let up to where it's just pouring. The hail has melted, or blown away  Even worse across the lake in NY from what I see. Looks like a repeat of last summer, maybe worse.
