Tom your boat is really beautiful! GL is no stranger to traveling with a boat but I'm impressed you and Doc John took the plunge and tried something new. It's tough to beat Lake Champlain, but there is a whole world of other places and really cool people to hang with that love performance boating and having fun. It takes a sack to try a new and unknown place like that with your boat. Glad you went and glad you had fun!

sounds like a plan. i'm everywhere on the lake for those two weeks. Last year it was about $1800.00 worth of gas in those two weeks. we plan on meeting glh and the crew Sat night in mallets bay. most likely hit the turtle for a late lunch then head accros

We started to head over around 1100 but saw the clouds hanging over the Bay and the sun shining north so we headed to Treadwell! We'll get over there eventually. Tell Michael he'll have competition in the radio-controlled-boat department next time I see him, so he'd better practice::boat:

VT32SSR 06-29-2009 08:17 PM

Jim,got any spy photos of the competition?:D

drypipetiger 06-29-2009 08:41 PM

You indeed missed it. Wanted to go talk to a few Canadian down the beach.

That thing is way to fast for me.

Slinky 06-30-2009 10:02 AM

whats the plans for everyone for the 4th..if the weathers nice i'll be taking the boat down to port kent for around noon for a family party then probably shoot across to burlington to have dinner with the woman (our like 8 year aniversary or something...guess some day we'll get married lol)...but i wanna try and get together with who ever to hit some fireworks that night.

also the 17th and 18th i have a spot reserved at breakwaters and tickets to the brewers festival if anyone plants to go to that.

jpmac 07-01-2009 11:33 AM

Plans On the NY side for the 4th

We are going to head up to Treadwell for the day. Make our way down to our primo spot in Cumberland Bay for the fireworks then motor over to The Turtle for the night. Breakfast at the Corner Rest Sunday a.m. Unless it's a complete washout.......that's the plan!!!

Change of Plans

We are going to hit Valcour with canopies on the beach Saturday instead of Treadwell. Probably NW or W side. Then hit the fireworks then on to the Turtle for the night.

I'm certain no one would mind. But it's polite to ask. And it would also let me know who will be out there if anyone responds.
