Does anyone stay on their boat at a marina ? If so where do you like ? We would like to be close to the action . I see that Public Beach #2 is about a mile from the Party cove. How is it their? Thanks for any info!!

PB2 is nice. Good boat ramp. Close to party cove and lots of bars. I would think that it would be the cheapest place to stay on a boat.

I know several people that stay on their boats at PB2 on a regular basis throughout the Summer and really enjoy it. You won't find a better price anywhere else. PB2 is also pretty close to everything by land and water. I wouldn't do it on a 25 AT though, but thats just me. Its humid and AC is a must.

I don't think you'll enjoy staying on the boat, it can be extremely humid during season. If you're trying to keep costs down, you can't beat the Tan Tara, I've stayed there during the shoot out the past 5 years. $75.00/ night and the docks are fantastic. Great value!

Given the number of places to stay at LOTO rent a slip at PB2 and you can leave your trailer there too and get a hotel room to sleep in $70 a night will seem cheap for AC and a good shower and probably a contential breakfast. Kind of like Vegas, you won't be spending a lot of time at your hotel so you don't need to rent a $200 a night condo with a slip.

Do cover your boat at night if you slip at PB2. Unless something has changed and they are now spraying for spiders your boat's interior will be a mess if you leave it uncovered. Most condo slips are not a problem as they are sprayed regularly. If you do what Von is suggesting, here is a great place to stay right up Rt. 54 from PB2. http://www.osagevillageinn.com/
