?Another question for the Florida Powerboat Club?
#1
Two of us Ohioan's are planning a long weekend in the St. Augustine area April 26-28, I have a 25' Baja Outlaw and my buddy has a 24 Sonic with twin OB's. We are in the process of getting charts now. We both have never boated in this area, and I have never been on the Atlantic.
We need suggestions/help on where to put in, stay, fun places to party, must see along the way stuff, what to stay away from?!?!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.....
Thanks advance,
Brian

Brian,
The City Marina is probably your best bet for overnight tie up. It's in the heart of downtown, and there are lots of things to see and do in the city. While on land you might enjoy a tour of the Keith Eickert facility in Palm Coast, about 15 miles from St. Augustine. Call Brett May at Keiths' and he'll set you up. Although the City is old and rich in heritage, it's also a College town, home of Flagler College. One of the nicest hotels is the Casa Monica which is only 2 blocks from the City Marina. Definitely need reservations this time of year. The city center is about 1 mile from the Ocean inlet.
If you need more, call Marcus Wally at New World Realty and tell him I asked you to call him. He's a native of the area and can answer any other quesitons you might have.
Have fun!
