I posted in the tech section. I "f"ed up the threads in my trim cylinders. Trying to track down prices or a fix. I am going to try a hydraulic shop on Friday.

Are there any good places to stay around the state dock?

State dock itself has cabins that are pretty nice at the top of the hill. They also have rooms at the lodge. Pretty decent dinner buffet in the evenings too.

Heres where we stay. Lake Cumberland Motel outside of Jameston. Only 3 miles from the State Dock park entrance. Can't get any closer than that unless you rented a house boat.

It's a small mom & pop run motel. Very nice people.

Might give them a call. We have been there on holiday weekends before and they still had a room left. $40/night this year.

Thanks US1, I think we are going to stay at the "bandit motel", actually stayed there before, or over by Alligator 2, at Lakepointe. Also have stayed at the Jamestown Marina, but I wasn't all that impressed with the facilities after factoring in the costs.

Do you know of a yellow 29' Fountain with twin 454 mags with Nickerson 250 blower kits on them? There was a guy that came to LaPorte a few times from Lafayette with that boat. I think his name was Pete Wolf. I know he used to go to Cumberland often. Just curious because I haven't seen him for a couple of years. Thanks!

Lets all try to meet @ Dam between 5:00 and 6:00 EST on Saturday. Or as Bajadaze suggests meeting at Otter Creek to run out together. (although I'm not exactly sure where the small falls are) Unless someone has a better idea / meeting place.

We'll be down.a little off the beaten path at Lee's Ford Marina. Kind of a tradition, but will be down at falls Saturday and around Dam.
