Damn it Goodfella beat me to it. Goodfella you do not think you are going to get off easy on this one do ya Tank. I love my drives. Biggus just bought a Cig with the TRS drives and the first thing he said was MAN THIS SHIFTS NICE!!!! Bravos are good I guess but some times it is nice to just shift and have it happen and not have the CLUNK. I am with the conspiracy theorist on this one that the Bravo was a way for Merc to make more parts sales and keep their Mechanics bussy. If the Tranny is SO BAD then why is it that the # drives have them. TELL ME GOODFELLA TELL ME (you know I am busting your balls right ) Goodfella is corrct however that unfortunatly parts will go bye bye with these drives and that is sad. I LOVE MINE and have NOT been impressed with the Bravo's. I guess the next boat will have to have # drives

NW-Jim. Check your trim rams they may need a rebuild. Mine were real slow then I rebuilt the trim rams and they are about as fast as bravo's.

Cool

Hey Audiofn,
You will never win the TRS TO BRAVO I deal we have going on The main reason the BIG drives SSM are still running trannies is that Mercury Racing has not released the NEW SSM drives. You will see in time speedmaster drives that are just very large Bravo drives. The shifting will be done just like a Bravo I. But it will be air or hydraulic actuated.

Audio, I have never rebuilt them before. How difficult is it? I can do just about anything, just curious.

Seeing how the TRS is so popular and all, it would seem to me that someone would start making OEM parts if they no longer are available from Merc, or do they already?

I know I have looked at a couple boats with TRS and I have heard almost nothing negative about them.

I'm with Niuhi
Why doesn't someone start making OEM parts for the TRS?

Wait, Why doesn't OFFSHORE ONLY do it!!

mr. cig,
these are hydromotive nose cones that have been run aground at about 70 mph...long story so they look a little different now than what they used to look but teague sells them part num. hyd hc mc2a for about 50 bucks each. i never ran the boat without them so i dont know if i picked anything up or not. the only problem i have is when i hit a coconut or something in the water....the marine tex i use cracks a flakes off.......anything better than marine tex to hold these on better??
