Sell boat, buy one with big power and beefy drives already.
|
Is there even enough space to pull the motors forward 12inches in order to acomodate for the transmissions?

If it's a TRS boat the motors are already mounted forward w/trannies. A Speedmaster installation will put the motors back a few inches as the SSM trans tailstock is several inches shorter than the TRS tailstock.

It sounded like he already has TRS..
|
The Arnesons will make the boat faster than the alternatives hands down. The same kit produces a dramatic speed increase over TRS drives too

Rik-
How much are the Bravo-to- AS-D 6 conversions, anyway? |

Why not. Yes the drives would out price the boat. I am looking to build my motors to 800hp each. I now have TRS drives the bravo's are not strong enough for 800hp. Konrads are an option but don't think they will survive either in this heavy boat.3a drives I beleive run deeper than a TRS I don't think any major benefit. and I like this mstyle of boat. I am already into it for more than it is worth. on my third set of motors. I am looking to enjoy it for the rest of this season and work on getting the rest of the parts for the motors and upgrade drives to handle the power I want.:evilb:
I happend to know where a set is incl. gimbals. LOL But yes the ARNESON thing is very cool and works as well. |
