Sell boat, buy one with big power and beefy drives already.

Is there even enough space to pull the motors forward 12inches in order to acomodate for the transmissions?

dont know on the #6's. on the ASD-7's tranny is in the box.. no need to move anything..simple bravo conversion.

If it's a TRS boat the motors are already mounted forward w/trannies. A Speedmaster installation will put the motors back a few inches as the SSM trans tailstock is several inches shorter than the TRS tailstock.

It sounded like he already has TRS..

The Arnesons will make the boat faster than the alternatives hands down. The same kit produces a dramatic speed increase over TRS drives too

Rik-
How much are the Bravo-to- AS-D 6 conversions, anyway?

#6 tailstock is the same length then TRS only #3,4,5 is shorter.

the arneson conversion actually seems to make alot of sense.

Konrads are an option but don't think they will survive either in this heavy boat.3a drives I beleive run deeper than a TRS I don't think any major benefit. and I like this mstyle of boat. I am already into it for more than it is worth. on my third set of motors. I am looking to enjoy it for the rest of this season and work on getting the rest of the parts for the motors and upgrade drives to handle the power I want.:evilb:

#5's would work also ,,same hight then #6 ,,little cheaper and still strong.
I happend to know where a set is incl. gimbals. LOL
But yes the ARNESON thing is very cool and works as well.
