#6 drives on a formula 357-SR1
has anyone installed #6 drives on a 357-sr1? If so what kind of advantages did you get?:evilb:
|
No one has tried this? What about #5 drives?:evilb:
|
U gonna put more then 1000HP each in it ????
If not ,,don't even think about it . |
Boats are built to handle certain weights and loads. Be careful, but a Formula that size from that era (not knocking them as they are nice boats) might not be capable of handling a #6 unless certain structual upgrades/additions have been done.

I think the drives would out value the hull?
|
I had that boat.
I had a boat with # 6's. Thge drives would be worth more that the boat. |
Don't listen to them,,,,,lol.....if the boat is worth that much to you then u can do what ever u want,,,just make sure it makes sense and is safe !!!!!!!!!!
They are buld like a brick ****house so i would not worry about structure ,,but i would get it dialed in and CG set new after ...other wise it would not work and also ,,like i said before i would not think about it if u get less then 1000 HP each in there. Because then u could go with XR's,,,IMCO,,,and what else is out there !!!!:coolcowboy: PLUS U COULD LET ME DO THE CONVERSION AND RIGGING ,THEN I WOULD GET IT DIALED IN ASWELL FOR U AND U WOULD HAVE THE FASTEST 357 on the planet. Would make us both happy .lol |
Seems like overkill. What size motors are you running? What is the reasoning behind added the 6's?
|
compared to bravo's -nothing is overkill.
|
I have one question. Why?
