The 1080 HD is also coming out in the Contour brand in November, I will get a second one for the rear shots also! Actually I will put the 108HD inside the cockpit and put the 720HD I have now in the back!

The camera with a stable fixed lens runs around 500.00 that includes the recording unit also. The now make them in HD and also record to memory cards.
Here is a picture of a fixed lens onboard lipstick camera. These are what we use:

Here is footage from that camera:

I've been using one of their 380's since 2000 and it's worked well. I'm ready for higher resolution, but the camera has been rock solid and the image has been nice and stable. I've beat the hell out of this camera.

I read on their site that 520 is truly the highest resolution that you can get. Anyone comment on that?

The GoPro camera's are the chit. For the money you can't beat 'em. Here's a link to some footage from one mounted on the top of a friend of mine's drag boat. I believe he was using the suction cup mount. Skip ahead to around 4 minutes or so and he gets into some full passes which are in excess of 100 mph.

You can buy the full kit for around $150 now.
