Default What is my Superboat sb1600cc worth????

Hello to all!
I just purchased my very first SUPERBOAT.....it's a sb1600cc. Not sure of the year, but can you guys give me an idea of it's worth? Floor, hull and transome all seem to be strong! Motor is shot...needs new rings, and front of trailer is rusted..the rest is galvinized. All of the extras not seen are there (i.e. chair, all the chair pads, bar for the Center console, windshield, etc...) I will be touching up the knicks in the hull , and having it repainted. I will probably put a used 90hp on the back, and set it on a nicer trailer. My questions for you are:
What is it worth now?
What is the max hp I can put on it?
And How fast will it go with the 90hp?
Thanks for your time and your anwsers!

Thanks for your reply! I paid $300 for it! I was wondering though....Do you know the max HP, and approx. speed of the boat with a 90hp?

Default Thanks!!!

Thanks..... I plan on having it done by next season! I've seen some others and the one that was in just "o.k." shape sold for $5000, and just 3 days after the guy listed it. The guy I bought this boat from got 28 other call the sameday, and I was lucky #1....so I got it.

Here are some pics of it and I will post more as I go through the restore process. I picked it up for $300, which included the boat, motor, and trailer. (Motor was toast) I am located in Washington state, and probably have the only one on the Westcoast. So I will do my best to represent Superboat on this side of the country, to the best of my ability! I just found a 1989 Mercury BlackMax 135hp that I'm thinking of picking up. What speed will this push the boat too? Transome seems solid......do you guys think this motor will be too big?? I've seen in previous fourms there were some boats that had 150-200hp bolted to them....thats crazy!! The hull is getting gel coated on the bottom, and immron from the waterline up including the inside. Suregrip will be applied to the floor along with a fresh coat of paint, a new rub rail, a bench seat cooler, new cushions, wind shield, and Nav lights. I am thinking of going with the same paint job as Magru, except instead of the green stripe, I will be adding a orange one as I am a HUGE Florida Gators fan. Again, I will post more pics as I get them. Let me know what you think about how I did on the purchase, what you think of the motor, and or any other info you might beable to provide that you think will be helpful.
Thanks,
Stubbie

Sean,
It had to run faster than that....right? Some guy has a video on youtube that shows when he took his 3 kids out for there madien voyage, and he has a 48hp......granted speedos suck, but during the shaking of the camera if you pause the video it says approx. 32mph. I figure a 90hp would push close to 45-50, a 115hp close to 50-55, and a 135hp close to 60mph+....? Am I crazy? I just figured due to the boat being so light, that the speed would be higher. I will attach the link for the video below. Let me know what you think.
