Ok so I have a question about twins...I have never owned a boat with twins, but Im look to buy a new motor for my boat, (single) are the motors counter rotating? A guy has a built 454 for a good price, kinda hard to pass up, but I dont know if the motor is counter rotating or not.Or is it just the outdrive that turns counter???

If it is an outboard boat then more then likely it will turn in the standard rotation. If he had a inboard boat then it could go either way.

Doesn't seem like many performance boats are counter rotating, but I had an old silverton with Chrysler 318s one of which turned backward. Prev owner had changed the plugs, and used the other engine as a guide to hook the wires back up. That didn't work out too well for him. Easiest fix of my life.

the set u mentioned is typically right hand rotation. the motor will not matter. however you could check out the drive to see which rotation it has been used for. the drive should be marked twards the top with a l or r indicating the rotation, and a gear ratio.
