Man, thats gotta hurt!

In the event the owner reads OSO and has trouble finding another, here is a link to a bunch more of them for sale.

I think my brother in law knows him...he is calling him now.
|
That scammer attorney in Ft Lauderdale (Scott Rothstein) had two of them that the FBI confiscated this week......
I bet it is an insurance job.....can't fix a car with a salt water dip! |
hope they didn't call "Sea Tow" or "Tow-Boat US"..........

Ouch!
There was one of these at the Texas Motor Speedway condos during the Dickies 500 last weekend. My assistant @ TMS had to pose with it; she loves hot cars. |
'The man jerked the wheel, dropped his cell phone, and the car’s front tire left the frontage road and entered a muddy patch, which foiled his attempt to maneuver away from the lagoon.'
Hah, nice................what a turd |

OOPs an accident yeah...maybe a bigger downpayment was needed for that real estate he was looking at.
The Veyron’s powerful engine gurgled like an outboard motor for about 15 minutes before it died. Yep better leave the engine running to make sure it's a total loss.. Seriously a bummer at least no one was hurt. |

Gotta love the interweb!

Maybe the bird was on his pnone. Or in his hand. That's so busted! I guess he never figured on being video tabed as he diliberately drove his car into the water without making any attempt to stop or steer out of it. i feel sorry for the car, not the idiot driver!
|
Video already gone from youtube, copyright of Joe M Garza
Found another site! http://www.geekologie.com/2009/11/vi...yron_crash.php |
Looking at a pelican? what a douche. Sad about the car though.
|
|
Most crooks get busted because they're dumb, then a few get busted because they are unlucky, he fits in that category. That's some pretty good video, once they slow it down, and see not bending over to look for the phone, he's **** out of luck. Not enough to do him criminally, but this guy is gonna be tied up with this claim FOREVER, not only isn't he gonna get paid for a looong time, if ever, but he's not driving that car anymore either.
|
Sure looks like he waited till the water was closest to the road and drove it in.
|
Well, on a Houston radio this morn, a guy "claimed" to know the car owner. He said the car owner was not driving the car and the driver was not fully insured. Also said the estimate to repair car is in the $500K range. Also said that it was a case of a dropped cell phone. Don't shoot the messenger, it's what I heard on the radio!
|
Not to flare up another thread, but I called it as insurance fraud from the first day.....the video just comfirms it. Guy is not a rich guy out looking at properties, he is just a car dealer that got caught dumping a car in a lake!
The car is owned by Andy House, a Lufkin auto salvage company owner (buys, rebuilds then sells insurance totalled vehicles for a living). Guy has owned this car for less than a month. Wreck car, get insurance settlement and fix it for less than that amount and sell car while keeping the "profit." |
Jupiter...why did they kill the other thread?
|
instead of posting that video on utube I would have call the guy and asked him if he wanted to buy a home movie

Just a fun fact about the car.
It's 1st service is $12k. Holds 11 gallons of oil. The oil change costs over $2600. That's just the price of the oil. |

Another fun fact. For all service work (except oil changes) a technician is flown to you from the factory.

One more fun fact. In a speed race, if the McLaren F1(the previous fastest street legal car) were allowed to reach 120 mph before the Bugatti started, the Bugatti would still be the first to reach 200 mph, according to the host of Top Gear, Jeremy Clarkson
|
Fun fact: I'd rather have an assortment of 10+ Ferraris, Lambos, Nobel, Ford GT40, Porsche GT, Bently GT, etc.......
Then that one ugly, over priced ****box. |

Then that one ugly, over priced ****box. LOL..... $hitbox? That car can't be compared to anything else! An amazing amount of technology is in that car. It is pricy......but not a $hitbox. I went to an event the other week and got to drive one of the two new Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport (convertible) the factory brought. Holy cow! |
This will not be good for his insurance rates

Another fun fact...tires need to be changed at 10,000 miles, wheels at 30,000. A tire and wheel change is $73,000, but heck...most of us make that in a week right? :grinser010:

You see that list of rediculous maintanance items, F that. It's a car, not a jet aircraft. I know it's incredible in it's own right, and I am into cars, but I still hold true to my statement. Give me $2M to spend on cars, and that won't be one of them. |
