Oh.. What a smokin deal!! I could build a 1300hp turbo rotary for $30k and put it in front of a #6. Assuming two mercury packages, that buys plenty of rotary rebuilds with the $140k left over. Rotaries that won't even need rebuilding! 4 rotor quads are known for 900 hp naturally aspirated. And rotaries do have throttle response... Only 500 lbs for a quad wankel with a turbo.

Or, run three triple rotor rotaries @ 900 hp each in front of bravo xrs... That would be 2700 hp for about $60k... Drives included..1100 lbs total weight for engines, same as one fully dressed old school BBC.

Aren't you the guy who was all gung-ho about putting rotaries in a 370 Baja?
What happened to that project? Is it done?

I was indeed going to do that.... And it is still on the table in the future. However, I'm working repairs on the baja 320 and still not done with structural repairs on the 370 that will have stock mercruisers... And now have a baby little girl that consumes some of my "Man" time. I have had Successful expriences in the marine world with wankels and others have taken it to further levels than I have. What I have not seen is a well packaged wankel powerplant for big go-fast boats. If someone does not do it before me, I wil do it and have the background for it.

PS: the 320 will be up for sale soon... Can't wait for that distraction to leave my house...and I still have five wankels in the garage waiting to burn some liquid dynosaurs.

The engines are AMG Mercedes dual over head cam.. 200hrs to the first rebuild. 1 year warranty.

204K is the retail, more than one dealer quoted the 265k number though.

And don't get me started on how the baseline wankel could be improved with a few low cost aerospace materials that rotary experts have no idea about.
