Crazyhorse,
The specs for the CS1139 is the exact cam my builder suggested and installed in my motor. Your desktop dyno numbers just confirmed EXACTLY what he said it would be for RPM and HP. However, his claim on the torque side was around 450 ft.lbs. Would an exhaust valve size of 1.72 as opposed to 1.88 have a decreasing affect on the torque numbers? If yes that would explain the lower number. By the way my C.R is 9.7:1.

I'd have to guess that the 1.72 exhaust is going to reduce the torque somewhat, but even running the smaller valve size through the desktop dyno shows about 480 for torque. It's also possible that your engine guy is planning on setting the cam up on a different intake centerline angle. That would also account for the difference. Of course it's always possible my 29 dollar version of DT is a little off.

Budman I run EMI manifolds with my silent choice.....I did have a set of Lightnings in my Checkmate that I ran through silent choice though....SuperV runs lightnings with teague switchable mufflers ,if I was going to do it again I would go that route....

Thanks dyno
Dyno,
Thanks for your help and input, I will be talking to him this weekend. Looks like this would be a really good way for him to go.
Thanks again

Whether he goes with the Lightnings or the EMI, I'm sure he'll be more than happy with the results. Dyno's boat really came to life with the engine and EMI exhaust upgrades, and SuperV should have a good running package with his freshened engines.
