It is all pretty simple if people could see some of it....AND vice versa some stuff people have NO idea what it takes to fix or repair certain things on boats. my .02 AND speaking of that HIGH end magazine, I'm kinda tired at looking at $500,000+ boats that 98% of the people can't afford.
hey speedreeder,do you remember me,you and your crew were partying with us at the ky lake poker run.i cant rember for sure, but i think the party ended about 2 am.that was a good time.

I was thinking tv spinoff also so that is funny you mention that.

I am thinking team effort people on these sites write the articles someone is in the market for a boat they buy a project and we get help them get a good deal on parts from our advertisers and maybe a few helping hands here and there so the project is covered and it they get a deal and some help for there trouble.

Obviuosly we have some great photographers on this site and I'm sure we could work a deal on some photos for some free publicity.

The publishing part is probably the easiest. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to layout a page If you have a little graphic design experience you could layout pages. And I know for a fact we have a printer on here who could handle the printing.

It obviously is a fact that magazine sales have dwindled since the advent of the internet. But they obviously will never be non existint. (what are you going to bring you laptop to the dentist while waiting).

I think a smaller group of people should get together (10-20) with everyone bringing something to the table (not necesarily cash) brainstorm and get a bunch ideas then see plan out a whole years worth of pages then based on the stories start looking for advertisers. I also think the 10 or 20 people should branch out to their people and really get some people involved. Maybe charge them or take a trade (I think someone taking free stuff from advertisers may not be the best idea maybe just sell to us at cost). Get some projects together I know there are some projects out here right now people would love to see get done and everyone would love to feel they area part of it and watch.

I gotta say somthing here
I get a call about twice a year to recive the "Who's Who" franchise That is such a scam They even contacted me when i was just an Independant Sales rep for 20 years
I cant tell you how many people have fallin for that self promoting plaque

My ex wife put it on her resume

"I am Registered in the Library of Congress "Who's Who in executives and Professionals"

This means nothing. She was a obscure nursing administrator for a small care facility but it made her sound important

The "Who's Who" is a joke and it really is not somthing to use as proof of credibility

Jim,

That may very well be but what i am saying is the "Who's Who" is somthing that is offered to almost anyone, and that is not one i would site for credibility as it trully means nothing

I have done nothing to earn that designation but it is offered to me all the time
