Yes it's a full 40' without the swim plateform..... Family runabout.

That's the way builders should market their boats. Don't say it's a 44' boat if the hull is 40' with a 4' swim platform or transom extension. Call it what it is, a 40 foot hull. That way, the prospect will be even more impressed when you tell him it's longer than advertised.

My .02 anyways.

I like it. Can the top be taken off for pleasure use? I've been waiting for someone to make something with a removable top for different uses. Very cool design.

It could be designed to be removable very easy, wouldn't be hard for Pete to figure out. Gino, Skater has a all new 43' coming out in the fall and a removable hard top would be no problem.

I like the flip-top concept and I kinda like the "wings" too - just something different. However, I think with a more "modern", different paint/interior color scheme, the boat would take on a completely different look. I'll reserve judgement until we see what the next 40LS looks like.

The 40SS is a open top boat, here's a few pictures of a 40SS.
