Does anyone have a set of 18 degree x 16 1/2....16 1/4 x 33 to 35" inch props for sale. Subject to bringing in the expert, we need the tools (props) to test with, though I think the 15 degree props are fine.

Hi-Torque Starters.....We spin the engines, then, while the engine is spinning, turn on ignition. The engines then fire instantly. The initial timing is 18 degrees. However, the 808011-A05 doesn't spin as fast as the 808011-A4. The 808011-AO5 is said to supersede the 808011-A4.
Whereas, these are OEM, Hi- Torque starters, rated for the application, perhaps there is a better solution. If so, does anyone have suggestions ?

We are updating our Life Jackets......Thoughts are; to try some inflatable vests with leg straps. What are the present recommendations, brand, design and etc ? We don't need anything fashionable, just comfortable and effective.
Leg straps seem to be controversial, however such as www.frode.se/ offers a little different crotch design....Good or Bad ?

We are getting closer..... However, we lack knowledge on props. Core questions include comparison between 15, 18 and 20 Degree rake. Does the degree of rake include a change of cup, if so, in what part of the prop, and what can be expected benefit, one to the other ???
It is assumed the rake angle creates more bow lift, but is there significant difference or is the difference marketing hype ? We have several sets of Mercury props, vintaged before CNC, at one time, was the pitch number under stated 1 or 2 " ? The question is relative to calculating slip and future cnc prop pitch. The best test has been with a set of Mercury 16 1/2 x 34 x 15 * 5 blade, not CNC. Subject to those being understated, slip is 12 %. However, if they are as stated, then an acceptable 9 %.
The next test will be after adding a 1/4" spacer and the above props. However, we don't have a spacer of that thickness or the studs. Does anyone have a set for sale ??

On the Jag, there was a major increase in bow lift going from 16* to 18* Hering (17 x38 5 blade), although top speed remained the same. Ended with 16* rake.
I might have one 1/4" spacer with studs in storage, but can't check until the 9th. Same kind of deal as you guys always made for me.
Let me know.

Incredible work.
I'm in awe at the detail and thoroughness of your updates. I would think it's safe to say your boat exceeds any Motion that has ever left the factory.
It also makes me painfully aware of how much I'm lacking in motivation, skill, and money to update my boat a little.
