Agreed. I'll take 60-80 in big water. One of the best days I had was running back from Miami to Lauderdale in ASG's old 38 TG. It was an HONEST 6+ into them all the way. When we pulled into Port Everglades the rub rail was kinked out in a V shape about an inch on both sides from the hull/bow flexing as we hit each one. We were sore for a week. And we were only running 60ish.

Fastest gone: 170 in Turbine powered Skater "Jet Set"
Fastest driven: 115+ in my Donzi
Best Adrenalin ride was racing in a 29' Mirage in legit 6-8's (average race speed was 45mph!)
Scariest ride: Hot laps in a flat bottom garvey.

134 on Vinny's first "Color Me Bad" 32 Skater ( 2 Skaters before the 40 "Bad" ). Boat and motors were brand new, couldn't push them yet, 4 guys on the boat. What a thrill, I've been trying to get a ride on all his boats since, maybe the 32 Talkin Trash boat. That would be cool

FAST...lol is over 200mph a good number

jeff and i would like to say, officially, the fastest ever in a propeller driven boat.

*****my reply is more about the people riding (passengers) in these boats. not driving/throttling them!****

i would like to mention that 80 in an OPEN boat is fast! doesn't matter what it is! something happens where you get tossed out; there is a good chance you will not survive it wearing the best safety equipment made. crashing a closed cockpit boat; no has survived anything above 160.

boats are getting really fast these past 10 years....if your a passenger in these go fast boats be sure to always speak up if you are not comfortable... any question you have about safety should not go unanswered.

cheers

Well said When I went 134 it was with a guy I knew my whole life, since elementary school I would trust him with anything. I have been on the back of his motorcycles at pretty amazing speeds, in his hi-performance cars ( from 69 Z-28s to vettes to supercharged vipers ), always felt safe and secure, and I can't say that about all my experiences with everyone. Safety first. As far as 200mph, I don't think I'm ready for that, pretty cool though.
