I've seen and heard of a more than a few problems.

I know a guy that has gone through a few of them, but that's because I can't get it into his head that shifting at 2000 RPM is not the right approach to docking.

More like $9K.
Its more or less a Bravo upper mounted sideways.
There is a way to drop in real transmissions but it requires a bit of re-rigging. Has been done and problem solved.

The earlier ones when the NXT's first came out were having tranny issues. That problem as been resolved. We've had to fix / send some back to mercury.

I just replaced one under warranty with 19 hrs that locked up. 2010 MTI with 700's.

I have 120 hrs on mine. No problems to speak of. As Omerta said, they shift WAY better when they are warmed up.

At a Formula rendevous couple years ago Vic Spellberg said he had gone through 14 transmissions on his 1st 700 boat. I believe they fixed the problem. Good thing they tested them!!
