It's not bashing when it's the truth.
If you're looking for politically correct, Rich is NOT your guy.
He "says what he means, and means what he says"
I've known Rich for 30-35 years. Raced against his boats, got my a$$ kicked many times, and returned the favor every chance I got. I was his nemisis and vice-versa. At times I kicked myself for not buying one of his hulls. Can't imagine what my success would have been had I done that.
Through thick and thin Rich was ALWAYS a gentleman and helped whenever his advice was requested.
Rich has forgotten more about performance boating than 99% of the people on this board have learned.
I respect Rich for his knowledge, and his willingness to share that knowledge with anyone that asks. But, most of all, I respect Rich for being a man of his word. In this world today, that is a trait that is sorely lacking.
You might not always like what Rich says, but, you can always believe it.

I agree with this post above in regards to T2x, he has been informative and helpful to me through the years. If you don't like like what he posts, ignore his posts and read other threads. As far as bitter, I think the phrase brutally honest is a better/best representation of how he seems to me.
And Bo, you were helpful to me a few years ago with respect to high water pressure issues with Bravo outdrives with low water pick-ups. I have gained good information from the both of you (Monstaa and T2x). Guys keep the information coming (posts), I take what I like and I will ignore the rest of the posts that I do not like.
Happy Holidays!

WOW, what a thread! Just wasted my lunch break reading this.
T2x is OK in my book. You just need the right sense of humor while reading his posts sometimes.
T2x built my Dad's 30' Shadow race boat. To our knowledge, this is the single winningest offshore race boat of ALL TIME. It ran as Black Duck, Boardwalk, E&B Marine and Pennzoil. Can't give all the credit to T2x as Tommy Akoury is one of the best crew chiefs/throttlmen of all time, but he couldn't have done it with a boat that was inferior to the rest of the class. The Shadow and later the 30' Chris Cat that T2x also built shaped the Production/Pro-stock class for many years. Next came the 35 Jesse James Conquest Cat...'nuff said right there. Some of you should do a little research before "calling him out."
Carry on!

There are very few people on this board for which I will open/read a thread based solely on that fact that that person responded to it, and Rich is one of them. If I see the T2x as the “Last Posted” I know to open that thread because it is relevant. Enough said.
Bitter…? I see his posts as well articulated, informative, sometimes sarcastic, but they always have an underlying truth to them, even if you don’t want to hear it/believe it. Having said that, I can see how it might rub some people the wrong way, but I have yet to come across a situation where he isn’t able to defend his post(s) with the facts to back his position.
Anyone wanting to learn more about his credentials should buy his DVD….might even learn a thing or two.
