Joe, I think you are the one entitled to a round of drinks once you get the boat back.

Keep up the pressure.

Joe,

Are they offering you anything for your inconvenience? Sounds like now would be a good time for them to turn the situation around and do the right thing.

Joe:

Ask one of the OSO'ers attending the Fort Myers races to print out this thread and stick it under Reggie's or Wyatt's nose at the dry pits. Although you've been promised some attention and a completion date this would ensure that they are aware of your frustration.

Joe,

Glad to hear that you have at least some answers (finally) from Fountain.

Fountain, If anyone in your organization is reading this thread...do you fully understand what has happened here? About 1800 views on this, while some have posted numerous times, still a heck of a lot of potential customers now understand how you treat your customers after the sale. This is your idea of "shareholder value?" You owe someone a heluva lot more than a apology here...including your shareholders!

Sounds like a mighty short two week vacation, eh? Something smells like dead fish around Washington, NC.

My story:
I bought a1999 42Lightning 20 th anniversary site unseen from National Marine in Ohio.
National delivered the boat and I had stars in my eyes.looked great!
Next weekend I blew an outdrive wihin 4 hours. stars disapated.
I saw alot of cosmetis problems with the boat and National Marine brought it down to N.C first week of November, and I still can't get a delivery date. Joe I feel for you but I hope I get mine first!

Your problems maybe bigger than you know....
"Broken Stringer" .......

Those don't just happen. That is a major structural defect. It's as if the frame in your car broke, it should not happen. The hull should be replaced. As an engineer and ex-fiberglass boat builer I would only accept a new hull. There is plenty of precidence for this. (From being on the wrong end of the stick)

Fountains only defense is to say you abused the boat. That's hard to prove.

Get a lawyer and start with the demand of a new hull, you'll get a response immediately.

Good Luck
