Ozzie, your not doing miami boat show run?

offshoredrillin 01-13-2011 08:56 AM

Looks great OZ, I have a question for you or Terry, I have seen some other 43's with side by side 850's and yours is a short stagger. Is it customer choice or just with the natural progression of building you found the cg would be better? :)

salesmanship 01-13-2011 09:56 AM

I kind of like the short stagger better for all around performance. However it cuts into the cockpit space so there's your trade off.
The choice is yours.

Pretty much what Terry said and... also a little easier to work on the motors...

Do you still loose space with the 700/nxt trans and drive with short stagger?

salesmanship 01-13-2011 04:01 PM

10"

Personally I'm sick of it too.

And as I've said before I would absolutely consider owning a NT; they are fine boats; as are Cig's and others; different boats for different folks. But I certainley wouldn't be "shocked" to see one brand choosen over another.

This^^^ I don't see how anyone who loves powerboating can bag on Cigarette. I have too much respect for the brand and the icon who created it. Better not to say anything at all.

Nor-Tech is quickly climbing that icon ladder as well, appealing to a different segment of the performance boating community.

Both are at the top of their game thanks to innovative leadership. We should be thankful this is the case.

Is it the same amount with bigger power and 6's, didn't they make the nxt so you didn't loose as much room?

Have you ever done one with a full stagger and put the gen over the tube behinde the forward motor? kinda like OL has done think I saw a Donzi like that to.

I think Nortech and Cig are the top V manufacturers in today's market as far as overall build quality. They may build them old school, but thats fine with me.

Without a doubt. Like NT, OL is continually bringing out new models. Hustler is now famous for their 50' triple diesel V and their new(relatively) 39 Rockit. Plus their build quality is right there with the best.

Famous? Are you sure? Most people think that Hustler is a dirty magazine and the Rockit a spaceship to Mars. They may be many things, but famous isn't one of them.

And most people think a Cigarette is something you smoke.......big deal. Hustler builds a great boat.
