Having some trub with the card- I can see the filenames but get an error msg when trying to open or transfer the files.
Tried some recovery software and got the same message.
Did a little research and I think somehow the exif data was wiped. There are fixes, but they are time-consuming.
Might be able to do it when I get Bruce's loaner and download from a Nikon camera.
Man, this is heartbreaking-

I bet it is for you, Jay. Looks like it was in a car wreck.
I will see you on Saturday and do what I can. So sorry.

It is mindblowing to see the damage after only a couple of days, but you are probably right about the electrolysis from the batteries, crazy.

Jay you may want to be careful putting that cf card in another camera. It could ruin tba camera reader. If you don't have any luck let me know. My brother has done a bunch of software recovery stuff. He may be able to pull the images.

Bob and Jim- thanks guys. I can't say it enough.
Ted- you should see these things. Whatever that alloy is on those bodies, it sure does not like seawater.
Jon- thanks. I think I'll take you up on that. The last thing I need to do is phuck up another camera. PM me your mailing address.

Were the cameras on when they jumped overboard?
