Is it true...Baja to decide ona step hull.
Heard Baja will make a decision on a stepped hull this summer. Maybe thats always been a rumor, but I really heard some excitement on it recently.
If any one has good info let me know.
Also heard Skater would help...

JB,
Yep, what you heard is correct...it's kind of old news, but at the same time we are all still waiting.
Here's a link for their press release:

In addition, Douglas Marine(Skater) Has a applied for a super-V Homoligation slot. They call it "Skater V 399 Race." Many believe that this will be the Joint venture boat. Baja is still undecided about what the outcome will be(whether they actually adopt a stepped-hull or not).
I also spoke with someone at The Miami show who conceded that this is indeed taking place and we should see something on the racecourse late this season or next season. I pried and probed, but with a cunning grin on his face, denied to comment any further.

I had read somewhere (don't remember where) that they were teaming up and Skater was going to build the boat in a limited qty (I thing about 20 but don't rememberthe exact number)
