Post your fuel consumption?
Please post your boat Make/Model/Length and Power, and how much fuel you consume at cruising speeds/top speeds and what those speeds are?
Thanks |
Sonic 31ss twin 454s average 1.5 mpg
|
35 Cafe Racer, Slightly warmed over 502's, about 450 hp per side. At Cruise, I'm consuming 14.9 gallons per hour per side at 3500 rpms which is exactly 50 mph. So, I guess that makes it 1.67 mpg at cruise. I never took readings at WOT; I really don't want to know. :)

Don't want to know !:lolhit:

I've learned my lesson. Nothing beats reliability. I do damn near 200 hours a year. I want to boat, not wrench. |
What uses More fuel?????
What uses more fuel... A built SINGLE IO or A pair of mild bbc?
|
2.2 mpg with a labbed 28" Bravo 1. Just got a labbed 29" Cutting Edge prop so I'll see if the mpg goes up. Hopefully the top speed will increase. I will be doing some charting on both props to see how they compare.

.5 miles per gal 110.

598ci N/A about 750hp
I cruise at 3500rpm and burn about 25gph and cruise at 55mph. So about 2.2mpg. Of course the throttle doesnt stay in that position for long, and I can assure you, it gets thirsty at 6000rpm. |

Good plan. For some reason I thought you had some big engines in your Cafe. I guess my memory sucks!!
What is your WFO speed? WFO speed:...I want to say 70, but I'd be lying. :o 69's a fine number anyway. |
25 Daytona, blown 509 / 900. Cruise at 3500 nets 75mph and 1.5mpg. 6000 nets 110 and just barely 1mpg
|
powerplay 25 with twin 300 xs's
cruising speed: 60 liters/hours top speed : ???? i don't care |

For me: 38 straight-bottom Top Gun, big cubic inch N/A's (800HP) with #6's. I figured out last season that I average .88 mpg at cruise. 4000 rpm's is right around 60-62 depending on water conditions. WOT.....don't want to know. Craig |
I'll throw an odd-ball in here, 32' Pachanga, 2 x 330 mercruisers/alpha, timing turned up a bit, performer intakes, stock carbs, older motors but healthy, 34 mph @ 2600 2.6 mpg WOT 63-65 at around 4700

My cruise speed improved substantially with the lab work. |

Lab-finished 26P Bravo 1's. You're right, when they were stock that's exactly the same I was seeing as you, 46-47 @ 3500.
