BINGO! I'm not afraid to work. Also, I have my priorities straight. What I spend on my boat / car addiction is pretty close to what some of my peers spend on trendy clothes, stylish appartments, and weekly bar tabs.
I am fortunate enough to have the space and ability to do all my own work and actually really enjoy it.
I also have a wonderfully supportive wife who enjoys boating as much as I do. BUT... I made sure to accumulate all my toys before I tied the knot

For us, I think it was a little bit of both; hard work, and blessed. Fiance is a defense contractor for the D.O.D. and I'm in Sales in an industry that hasn't been dramatically effected by the failing economy! We too accumulated all of our toys before we're getting married.....
My only mistake was not getting a cat! First thing she said when we started looking for something to buy was, "I want a Nor-tech or a Skater...." SHES A KEEPER TOO!!!!!
