BTW it was really fun going through these old issues. I really miss this magazine. Since when did it become all about testing big off-shore boats that cost a half mil plus? There is so much good reading in these old mags that I'm going to keep them out for awhile. The test on the Fountain 24 was cool. Although truly only a 22' boat (minus beak and swim platform) it ran over 76 mph with a 502.

This post really gets at the core of my problem with todays boating rags.
This stuff is written for the top .01% of boaters.
Not "regular" guys. The big stuff always gets the big news, but who actually buys that stuff with any regularity.

Drock, I have the Oct. '94 issue but don't see that boat in it. Could it be this one in the Feb '94 issue?

No limits: I looked throught what I have at the shop today & didn't see it, however I know I have it somewhere & would continue to look but it looks like you have it covered.. ;-)
So since were all making special requests if anybody had any of the issues they tested any of the 28 Saber's in I would be interested.. I can't get pm's right now but I can be reached at (my screen name) @comcast.net

Thanks !! I am a bit of a magazinge junkie myself and have rarely tossed any of them however about 6 months before I bought my Saber I tossed about 10 orso old hotboats that had been around the shop for ages & out of the 100's of other mags one of them happened to be one of the issues with the 28 saber in it.. haha..
