I am not posting here anymore no matter how many of you bait me(haha). Madcow disease has banned me from postin my ideas and I do not want to anger anyone.

Dan, We have one CC running just under 100 mph and another that ran 101.4 mph until he added a tee top, 52+ speakers, 5 amps and 5 batteries. Now it only runs 80 mph. Both cats have boat motors (outboards) not car motors. I feel the same way about I/Os' as you do about car motors in a boat. Personal preference.
Forgot to mention that they are cats. Bob

Some of you guys don't get it.

If you hate fishing - DON"T FISH.

If you hate going fast - BUY A PONTOON BOAT.

If you hate outboards - KEEP YOUR EXPENSIVE MAINTAINANCE.

If you hate CC'S - BUY A SPORT BOAT

If you hate both going fast and fishing - GET A SKI BOAT

Or, if you are like me and ate all your veggies your mother gave you and you like and can do everything - GET ONE OF EACH!

Ah Doug, Alec's 44 prolly has more cabin space than your Fountain.

Put a full soft enclosure on that sucker and it would be one huge living space.

Ah Sean....I should hope so its 44ft?....lets compare apples to apples..... compare cabin space on a 29CC to mine..... and a Fountain is a terrible example of a cabin.....lets compare cabins in a 29CC to a 28 Active Thunder.....D

So why are outboard so much more reliable?

Ok I know that answer, why doesn't Merc spend the money to design a modern I/O?

We may need a different thread for that one.
