Guys I need your help..Thank You...BLAKE RICHARDSON 6 YEAR OLD FROM DIAMONDHEAD

Friends of ours were in a terrible boating accident on Saturday. Still can't believe it. Adorable little 6 yr old Blake Richardson was killed Saturday afternoon in a boating accident 1/4 mile from our house. So Very Tragic...His father Mark was hurt very bad, and hopefully will not have permanant damage to his hand. The driver of their boat was Bill, Marks brother, he has some head injury, just went through a cat scan.. Another boat drove over the top of them while they were rounding a corner...They were on the correct side but the other driver was driving eratic and way too fast. He ended up driving over the top of their boat causing injury to both brothers and killing Marks 6 year old son... Blake. The dispicable act was...they left the scene of the accident. Our Deepest Sympathy to the entire Richardson Family. These are good hard working people, that are need of our help as a community.

A benefit act in the name of Blake Richardson has been opened at Hancock Bank. Diamondhead
Act #045397162
or you can mail the checks to our address since we will be seeing them through these difficult times.

Any help is so apprieciated...THEY HAVE NO INSURANCE...THANK YOU GUYS, funeral is tomorrow.

WLOX News - A young boy, injured in a boating accident in Hancock County died and two other passengers on the boat he was in sustained injuries. Six passengers from the other boat suffered minor injuries.

According to the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (DMR) two recreational boats collided head-on in Rotten Bayou near the Jourdon River north of I-10 in Hancock County on Saturday.

According to Hancock County Coroner Norma Stiglet the young boy was identified as Blake Richardson. An autopsy showed that multiple injuries caused by the impact resulted in his death. Stiglet stressed that drowning was not a factor in his death.

Richardson was pronounced dead at 11:35 p.m. Saturday at Hancock Medical Center.

Blake Richardson was riding with his father, Mark Richardson and his uncle, William Richardson at the time of the accident. William was operating the 19-foot Critchfield skiff. According to DMR Richardson was the only passenger wearing a life jacket on the skiff.

The other boat, a 22-foot Boston Whaler, had six people onboard. The 22-foot Boston Whaler was operated by George Brower II. All six passengers were ejected from the boat at the time of the collision and sustained slight injuries.

Blake Richardson was picked up by an airboat operator and taken to Devil's Elbow in Diamondhead where they were met by Hancock County Sheriff's Department, Diamondhead Fire and Rescue and American Medical Response.

The accident is still under investigation by DMR's Marine Control and Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks. DMR has taken possession of both vessels and a blood test was taken on both vessel operators. Test results are still pending.

My condolences to the family and everyone involved. Sorry to hear this.
In behalf of my self and CCS, Inc. I will forward my support, and ask my fellow boaters to follow suit.
RIP little Blake.

Payton 04-06-2011 06:00 AM

Wow, that is terrible. My condolences to the family.

Thanks for letting us know.

Jassman 04-06-2011 06:47 AM

Thankyou Payton and Paradox... We are having a very hard time with this. This child was such a cutie, and well behaved. I cant say to much cause I know all parties involved but the driver of the other boat left the scene...and that has me upset as well....that will come out later..I cant say anymore on that..just a tradegedy. Blakes spinal chord was severed, no child deserves this. Mark didnt realize that his hand was hanging by skin as he held little Blake, as well as he has deep lacerations up his back, shoulder and head. All they were doing was checking their trout lines for saturdays supper. The wife and daughter are always with them together, but luckily had a girl scouts meeting in New Orleans, otherwise they would have been there as well. RIP lil buddy.

So sorry to hear about this little boy and his dad, This is a horrible story and the guy who left the scene makes me SICK! He probably couldnt stomache what he had done.

As for the staff infection, dont mess around with that if they think theres any chance of a staff infection get him on vancomycin (antibiotic) this family doesnt need another tragedy. I have seen it first hand, MRSA or staff can very nasty, and it can kill you!

By the time you realize its bad it could be in your blood.

I wouldn't normally bring this type of info into it here, but I know when your upset, you dont care about yourself, but if he has a wife and daughter he needs to care still.

God bless this poor family and that little boy!

You are correct, hit the nail on the head..Sandy my wife and you said exactly the same thing. He did stay at a friends house Saturday night, which happened to be a optomologist, and his wife is a radiologist...and they ended up getting him proper medical care...This is the last thing on his mind..Blake and Mark were close and did everything together..even cutting peoples lawns..actually all 4 of them worked beautifully as a family as they raked, did yard work and cut lawns to make money.. Simple, and hard working people that would give you a hand anytime you needed it. Thank you for your consideration. Jeff

We are so sorry for their loss. We will be forwarding our support to help in any way it can in the next so very hard days.

My sweet baby girl, Elizabeth, slipped and drowned on fathers day 2009 and I know the pain and horrible loss they are experiencing.

A parent should never have to bury a child and my heart and soul is braking for your friends.

As the days and months go by, the hurt will eventually turn into kind of a dull pain in your soul that never leaves, but just always reminds you of the one that was so precious to you.

All our love and prayers to the Richardson family, Dan, Kim and Lizzie

What I learned is to never take for granted the time you have with your loved ones.

If I knew the last time I saw my daughter alive was going to be the last I ever saw her except laying there in her coffin, I would have hugged her longer, and told her how proud I was of the young lady she had become, but you never know when a tragedy like this will occur.

I have beaten myself up over and over again for not being there to rescue my daughter and pull her from the water and the grips of death, but it just was not to be. I will never recover from this loss, but you do learn to go on, one day at a time, knowing that is what your lost loved one would have wanted.

Please do not feel sick for us, but instead, give us a hug and a few words of comfort, for that is what we need the most at times like this. Dan

Dan!

Your story is very heart felt and inspirational and as you have said the pain will never be gone but you learn to deal it the best you can and must go on. My heart goes out to you and your family on the loss of your daughter and I couldn't imagine how I would be, if I were in that position. I hope that your story will help the Richardson Family to coop with this tragedy.
