i've seen the gps with my own eyes, although i cannot prove the hp. my engine builder said that was approximate hp of my old motor. stock 502 block, alum heads, 4150 carb. although your friends boat should definitely be running faster than that.

LOL, it was on the water, i usually vary between 55-60 towing to avoid wasting gas.

The boat will not be a "runner" by any means. Just have fun with the boat. Sounds like you'll be doing that cruising around the 60 mark. Like T2X said, leave the racing for sanctioned events. Cruising with people is much more fun than seeing who the bigger grand standder is.

IMO I would sell that 27 beak and get a nice 25,26, or 27 Eliminator Daytona. You will go way faster with the same HP and the boat will be stable. Those 27's are scary at speed.

i am not a racer. i cruise, have a good time with my friends and i go for a blast every now and then. the fountain was what i could afford and personally i like the looks of my boat. it is white with a red and black stripe (my favorite color combo), has white red and black seats and also has grey suede in the cabin (also my favorite color). My windscreen is painted white to match the boat and i have fountain written across the front of it, i also have the clear lip on the top of it. personally if i ordered this boat brand new from the factory i wouldnt have changed a thing. thank you but i am very happy with my purchase.

I also had an engine built by Bandit Performance for my class 6 raceboat "Lock'd Up". I'm VERY PLEASED with Bandit! My engine came in with the Horsepower I was promised, on time, and more importantly on budget!!
I know Drew, Danny, Grant and Jeremy put alot of effort into satisfying their customers. I HIGHLY recommend them!!
Ita1, best of luck with your boat and new power!
