y? dont think it will go 90? it was a 75 mph boat with a little under 500hp. another 200hp wont get it there?
I have a new prop to try this year. 29" labbed Cutting Edge prop. This prop has a little more diameter to cut down on slippage. Can't wait to try it out. |

Per APBA measurements a 29 Fountain has a running surface of 26' 10".
Good luck Stallion!! More importantly be safe and yes a set of 380's mounted level will only help you. My 29 with a stock sealed 500EFI will do 92.7 so you should be able to have a lot of fun. |

I'd be willing to bet that JimV has spent countless hours getting to the speeds he achieves...and numerous set-up changes...so much more to it than just an extra 100 horsepower give or take:coolcowboy:
I'm not throwing water on your campfire, just pointing out the boat your comparing yours to is not just another boat with more hp...much more to the story |
I don't disagree at all with all the warnings given so far, but what the OP is aiming at is indeed feasible.
And yes, with a NA engine, a non stepped 27 Fever, and a Bravo drive. PS: ooops, sorry, I posted this before seeing that the thread had more than one page, and didn't realise it has already been posted... |
