Default Help Slow Fuel Fill

My Spectre 30 takes so long to fuel that its almost painful. I have the standard fills and vents which are not clogged. The vent hose is a direct line from the tank to the vent. The fill line is 1.50".

Thanks
Shawn

Check to see if the vent line is kinked or pinched anywhere, I had that problem once.

can you feel air rushing out of your vent when you fill? on my Scarab when filling I can feel and hear air coming out of the vent.

Question

Where on the tank is the Vent located? If fuel reaches it before the tank is full, then I would say it is not in a good place...

Had the same problem. If the vent hose and fill hose are wire tied together, make sure the vent hose is on top of the fill hose. Mine was under my fill hose. Swapping seemed to fix the problem.

...and when you reroute the vent hose on top, be sure to exagerate to the gas dock girls know how it took you all day to fix the problem --- just for them. (trust me on this one)

All the above are good suggestions. Also you may have fuel pooled up in a low spot in the line. If for instance the hose bends there may be a place for the fuel to pool up, so you may want to check that as well.

Shawn: I'm having the same problem with my Fountain. Haven't figured it out yet though. Please post if you find something that works.

YOU JUST GOTTA LOVE THIS BOARD. QUESTION ASKED IN THE AM, ANSWERED BY NOON AND REPAIR MADE BY 3 PM.

MACH 1 SHORTY YOU ARE THE FUEL VENT GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My vent line was in fact wire tied to the fuel fill line and it was lower than the fill line. I merely worked it around inside the wire tie until it was on top and then went to the fuel dock, what a difference. I can't wait to fill er up again.

THANKS
Shawn
