Got a decent OD on the gearing should go pretty good - the FPT turn a little higher rpm than the Cummins right?

Should give good prop speed and away you go - good luck again!

No more than 0,875 from ZF on these gearboxes.(300ATS)
Revs 3150=3600 rpm propspeed. About the same as a Merc 525 w 1,50 gearing.
Weight should be around 9500 lbs raceready w/o fuel.
The bare hull weighs 3900 lbs. The rest is dieselengines, 2-speed gearboxes, ASD-8L,s, another fueltank etc, etc.

New enginebeds. The diesels are heavy...

I'm not saying you listened to what I've been saying on here but what your doing is exactly what I keep preaching for years on here - it's all about the prop speed.

The boat will do well, my crystal ball allows me to see that in it's future :drink:

When we first had Ebel, she was 3,100 - 3,300 rpm with similar gearing and those were the small cui Seateks, barely 600hp, she could run 90-92mph all day long. Your newer engines and two speeds allow you to get every drop of Hp there is out of them not like the old mechanical engines - it will run good!

I have listened to your preaches here on OSO.:)
Visited Mr Buzzi at his factory in October.
"Aluminium hull!? Arneson drives!?" "Your an idiot!" "FPT-engines?-Ah, Good!" "Overdrive gearboxes?- Good,good..."
You get straight messages from that guy...

Other than that Mr Buzzi was very nice and showed us (my wife and me) around and talked racing for almost two hours.
He also explained very carefully WHY I was an idiot.

YOU have to remember that he build's and sell's his own boat's , so of course he will be a little one sided .
i think your boat is going to be a great set up once it's done .
great fuel burn with a nice top end speed and a long time before rebuild's :)

mike

100% correct if it's not FB it's no good!

You'll do fine with what you have, endurance is just that endurance!

I laugh when I read what people say about the Miami-Bimini as being a long race. In the old days the Sportsman races were almost that long, for a boat like your it takes a 100 or so miles to weed out the boys from the men! Good luck my friend!

Buzzi is known for talking down everything that is not Buzzi so I just laughed. He builds boats in glassfibre, straight axels and rudder. Everything else is no good. But he is a funny guy to talk to.
