The SV43 with Stock 700's runs right around 120 under perfect conditions. A usual day speed of 118. With Ilmor 725's its a low 120's boat. As of now, until the release of the SV29, that is really the smallest (in production) boat we build. My 40 has run a best of 113 with 650's, usually around 110, and is actually slightly slower than the SV43.

It will run with stock 700's 118 all day. With Whipple upgrades its in the low 120's easily. A 44SL with full cabin, generator, tv, ect runs 110mph with stock 700's.

Given the sheer mass of the boat and its stability at that speed, it was impressive as any ride I've ever taken.

Not relevant to this question, but Mike Fiore, Bob Teague and I topped 120 mph in a 52-foot Outerlimits in a test for Powerboat magazine. I believe it had twin 1,400 hp Sterlings. The OL 52, for those who haven't seen it in person, is a huge V-bottom—tall, wide and (obviously) long. I don't recall the weight, but I also don't recall it being particularly "light."
